I have always loved writing...as a child, I was always making up stories and plays!

I studied English and Education at Keele University and gained a B.Ed. degree.

When I became a Primary School Teacher, I carried on writing material to use in class - poems, assembly material and short stories...

One day, my lovely friend and colleague, Paddie, urged me to write some football stories for children who don't like reading. There wasn't much suitable material around then, so I took the plunge - and wrote twelve books about Sam and his friends. I don't know much about football, but sitting in front of "Match of the Day" with a notebook helped!

Stewie Scraps followed - the idea for his stories began in a traffic jam on the M6

when I found myself stuck next to a scrap yard!

My latest venture is a Kindle e-book for children (Jazz) and a

self-published children's novel: Long Dark Shadows.

I also write short stories for adults.

I am still enjoying teaching (part time now after all these years!)

and am a long-term member of Crewe and District Writers' Circle,

where I share my writing with fellow members and friends.
